Hello Fox Head Neighbors,
The Board met for its monthly HOA meeting on August 9th. We wanted to update the community on what was discussed and what is coming up for Fox Head.
– Neighborhood Communication
• Website – http://foxhead.org/ – Here you can find the calendar, community tools, Board members’ contact information and street assignments, forms to be used for ARC requests, a copy of the ARC Guidelines, and general information. The website is administered by the Board and it is our intention to keep all areas up-to-date.
• Facebook – “Fox Head Subdivision” is a page that was created by community members to be used for the sharing of information. This page is not administered by the Board.
– Happenings this past month
• Repairs – It was a light month on repairs. The only repair of note was one street sign pole that was knocked over. The post was replaced by Hanover County Public Works and the vinyl sleeve and street signs were re-installed by board members and a neighbor.
• Improvements – The three additional Children Playing signs that were purchased in July were installed in the neighborhood.
• National Night Out was another success for Fox Head. McGruff the Crime Dog, Hanover bike patrol, roadside assistance, the Hanover County Sheriff’s Department and the Hanover Fire Department fire truck were there. Faye Prichard, Hanover County Board of Supervisors, also stopped by and she indicated she may be able to help with the speeding issues we face. She is going to talk to the county commissioners to petition for an extra speeding fine. Further discussion with her is to come.
– New Business
• Home of the Month – Congratulations to Ronnie and Janet Rust for taking Home of the Month for all their hard work keeping 9126 Fox Hill Race Court looking great. The board is looking for next month’s nominations, so if you have noticed a neighbor who should be recognized for their hard work in and around the yard, please send the information to board@foxhead.org.
• Bylaws – There was continued discussion of our community bylaws and the need for updating them. Over the coming months the board will be looking at necessary guidelines and wording updates that need to take place to bring our bylaws to current-day standards. As this is taking place we will keep the neighborhood informed and will be requesting feed back.
• Fox Head’s annual Foxtober Fest Pig Roast is scheduled for October 15th. Time and location TBD. As in previous years there will be a pig roast and a movie will be played on the movie screen after dark. This year we will be watching Zootopia. Bring your chairs, blankets and any other refreshments you would like and enjoy good food and good fellowship with your neighbors. More details to follow soon.
• The community yard sale is scheduled for October 1st.
As always, the Board encourages our neighbors to keep Fox Head looking great and remaining a safe neighborhood. The next monthly HOA meeting will be held at Vito’s on September 13th at 6pm. All neighbors are encouraged and welcomed to attend.
For neighbors you may know who don’t get Fox Head emails – please feel free to forward and encourage them to reach out to the Board so they can get on the distribution list.
