Fox Head Newsletter – May 2016

Hello Fox Head Neighbors,
Last week the Board met for its monthly HOA meeting. We wanted to update the community on what was discussed and what is coming up for Fox Head.

Website
http://foxhead.org/ – Here you can find the calendar, community tools, Board members’ contact information and street assignments, forms to be used for ARC requests, a copy of the ARC Guidelines, and general information. It is our intention to keep all areas up-to-date.

Happenings this past month
Yard Sale – Unlike last year, the weather decided to cooperate. I’m hopeful all our neighbors had a successful day of sales.

Landscaping – Our spring mulch was installed and irrigation was prepared for watering. Coming out of the annual board meeting there was a desire to look into rain sensors for our irrigation – I’m happy to report that we did and moved forward with installation at each entrance. We are looking forward to saving some water this year. Thanks for bringing this up at the meeting and giving us a smart and easy way to make an impact.

Repairs – During the opening of our irrigation it was noted we were out of compliance with our backflow valve at one of our entrances. James River, our new landscaping company, contacted Hanover County to verify the situation prior to suggesting repair. The Board moved forward with the necessary repair to bring our irrigation system up to current standards.

Speed trailer – As some may have noticed, Hanover Sheriff’s Office moved their speed trailer into Fox Head. At the annual meeting it was brought to our attention that speeding appears to be an issue in the neighborhood. The Board contacted HSO and were pleased to see action being taken. As always, please be on the lookout for any vehicles that are violating traffic laws and report as necessary.

New Business
Home of the Month – As in years past, the Board takes suggestions from our neighbors as well as from members of the Board and each month during the summer, one home in Fox Head is recognized for their hard work in the yard and around the home. This neighbor will be recognized with a “Home of the Month” sign to display for the following month, a picture posted on the website (with their approval), and a $50 gift card to a home improvement store to help keep up the good work. The Board is looking forward to hearing from our neighbors as they recognize one another.

As always, the Board encourages our neighbors to keep Fox Head looking good and remaining a safe neighborhood. The next monthly HOA meeting will be held at Vito’s on June 14th at 6pm

For neighbors you may know that don’t get Fox Head emails – please feel free to forward and encourage them to reach out to the Board so they can get on the distribution list.

Thanks and have a great month,
The Board
